44 Armenian prisoners of war have landed in Yerevan.
The prisoners were transferred on a Russian plane, accompanied by the commander of the peacekeeping forces in Nagorno-Karabakh, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov.
They were greeted by a delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan and the President of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan.
Currently, the returned Armenian prisoners are the ones whose capture was confirmed by Azerbaijan and the Red Cross.
According to Artsakh Ombudsman Artak Beglaryan, Azerbaijan is still holding 60 prisoners of war and 40 civilians.
